If you are working outside the database (eg in ESQL/C or ODBC or JDBC), then you can create two independent connections to the two different databases, and pull data from one database on one connection and push it into the other down the other connection. However, you cannot use two different databases with different logging modes inside a single SELECT statement, whether you use synonyms or not, explicit dbase@server:owner.table notation or not, or SPL or not. > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Csom Gyula [mailto:Csom@interface.hu] > > Sent: Thursday, December 14, 2000 10:02 AM > > > > I don't really see the point here, do I miss something? > > Anyway use global names to acces data from "anywhere": > > > > db_name:table_name or db_name@server_name:table_name > > > > Does that make sense?:) > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Jinyao Lin [mailto:jinyao@mail.com] > > Sent: Thursday, December 14, 2000 2:39 AM > > > > Currently I have some problem with database logging.
