You've not given us enough to go on, but the most probable trouble is that your SELECT statements are returning multiple rows, somehow. We'd need to see those SELECT statements, unfortunately. But you could test this by extracting them from your code (or, you could use SET EXPLAIN ON and look in the sqexplain.out file to get the actual query or queries being executed), and then running those queries and looking at the data that the raw queries return. I'd guess that some table has acquired extra rows which were not there last year, and you haven't got enough filtering conditions on you SELECT to remove the redundancies.
