Re: Stable Informix on HP/UX 10.01

Dear Donald, V7.10 is stable for 10.01 HPUX. It just doesn't run too fast. An allegation has been made (by a non-Informix and non-HP source [and *not* me!]) that HPUX 10.01 isn't as parallel as it could be and sometimes cracks when OnLine DSA gets too parallel! Certainly I've seen a lot of drama with Informix >= v6 on HP-UX 10. But once the necessary OS patches are loaded, it works well. So, whatever the real story is, HPUX 10.01 will run OnLine 7.1x OK, as long as you get the right patches (and there's a lot of them- alledgedly!) loaded. What they are, I don't know, however! :-) HTH.
