Starting Informix Turbo on Unix System

I'm in a bit of a bind. Our Informix System used an Optical Jukebox to store images onto. This jukebox stopped working and our company decided it was not worth it to fix it. They want to to extract some information from the portion of the DB that is on the hard disk. When the box boots up it tries to startup Informix and I get an error tbinit: cannot open chunk '/dev/rdsk/c11t6d0sa', errno = 13 tbinit: fatal error in shared memory initialization. I assume it is looking for the jukebox. I try to use tbmonitor to change the settings but get an error about it not being able to access the configuration file, tbconfig. Does anyone know what I can try to get this system up so I can extract the information. I've also tried editing the tbconfig file manuall but am not sure what I can put in place to the /dev/rdsk/c11t6dosa device. thanks Tyson Oswald Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Try replacing the missing/damaged device with a link to ANY file that is accessible and with the correct permissions. The engine will come up and if you try to access the Juke Box it will mark the chunk down but other queries should succeed. Art S. Kagel tysono@my-deja.com wrote: > > I'm in a bit of a bind.
