Does anyone know of a simple way of getting specific information about jobs
that are currently running against Informix?
I'm looking for something besides onstat (i.e. querying sysmaster,) that
will show me the specific sql statements being executed, and something like
an sqexplain output to go with it. I'd also like to find out to what extent
my shared memory is being paged in and out of swap space. Is there a way to
determine this through Informix? I'm currently running ODS 7.23 under
Solaris 2.6.
To get an information about a job, first make "onstat -u" to get the session id
(sessid) you are interesting and make "onstat -g sql <sessid>" to get the
information about the current or the last sql statement.

Vicky,
In the sysmaster database there are 2 tables, sysessions, and syssqexplain
syssessions will give you the user, UNIX pid etc,
join that to syssqexplain to give the sql statement.
syssessions.sid=syssqexplain.sqx_sessionid
between those 2 tables you can get memory, scans, etc.
Hope this helps,
Scott
