Set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include $INFORMIXDIR/lib and $INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql, or the equivalent variable (SHLIB_PATH, ...) for your system. Or use: esql -static -o program *.o This uses static libraries instead of shared libraries.
