If you are using the OpenLink ODBC drivers you can have the server part of the drivers do anything that can be done via standard or Informix spesific SQL whenever a user connects to the database. Additionally you can define any environement variables that should be set upon such a connection (possibly with some limitations). There are also simple ways to have different programs on one users PC connect using different setups for these items so a user with multiple programs doesn't allways get one fixed setup. As I haven't ever used PDQPRIORITY I don't know the particulars, but it seems to me it should be possible.
