Hi,
We're using the ESQL/C 9.15 coming with the ClientSDK 2.02 to
develop programs running againt Informix Dynamic Server 7.3 on Solaris
2.6. When we tried to open more than 49 or 50 concurrent connections
to the server side, the client program just died and output some error
messages. Sometimes the server even looked like hanging up there...
We got two different kinds of error messages,
error code: 7
error message: [VENDORLIB] Vendor Library Error: Cannot create an user
thread. On NT check username, and IXUSERS group.
vendor error 1: -25571
vendor error 2: 0
vendor message 1:
vendor message 2:
Not connected 50
The other one seemed like the "memory allocation failed..."
message...
Do we have to tune any Informix Sever or OS parameters?
We appreciate your precious opinions...
- Steve

Sounds like you are probably running into the default NETTYPE ceiling for
number of concurrent connections.
Read up on NETTYPE in reference to client/server communication in any of the
7.xx Dynamic Server administrators guides. Once you've come up with some
reasonable NETTYPE values for your particular client/server environment,
configure the NETTYPE parameter(s) in your server onconfig file and bounce the
engine.
