DBTIME on Linux

Hello,
I'm trying to change the display format of a DATETIME (HOUR TO SECOND)
variable from default to %H%M%S on my IDS on Linux (7.30U) but with no
success.
dbaccess displays this variable always as HH:MM:SS although I set
(export) the environment variable to the format above.
Another Informix (7.24UC..) on a Reliant UNIX system formats the string
as expected.
Does anyone else has encountered this too ? Help is really needed !
Thank you all.

DBTIME is, IMNSHO, a useless environment variable. How do you expect
a single value of DBTIME to format:
DATETIME YEAR TO FRACTION(5)
DATETIME YEAR TO DAY
DATETIME HOUR TO SECOND
I don't think it can handle all of those sensibly, unless the value
is something like "Do not use DBTIME".
As to why it appears to work on Reliant and not on Linux, what are
your locale settings? Could it be that the locale on Reliant is set
to format the result as you wanted, and the DBTIME setting is
misleading you?

Hello Jonathan,
you were right. I discovered that on our Reliant systems the
environment variable GL_DATETIME was set (because of NetWorker from
Legato). That led me to the false conclusion that DBTIME works there as
expected. Setting GL_DATETIME on my Linux box brought the desired result
.
Thank you for answering me
