Anyone who don't use I-connect

Currently we are using I-connect 7.2 for some VB and PB applications linking to Informix DB on SCO Unix. When computer crashes or network is down, I-connect configuration in registry sometimes will be destroyed, which made the applications unavailable. We are looking for alternative product or middleware to replace the I- connect. Is that a mission impossible? Thanks in advacne. Jimmy Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
We run VB and IDS.2000. The VB runs on Win2k and connects to IDS.2000 running on SCO Unixware 7.1.1. We succesfully connect from VB to the db using SDK v2.50 on the Win2k box. You have to use Setnet 32 and set up the ODBC driver, but it works. However, we have experienced some SQL restrictions and cursor locations (client or server) effecting performance. You can get SDK from www.intraware.com (not informix, of course!).
