Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

System: SunSPARC 5 with Solaris 2.4 and Informix 7.11
I experieced the same problem when I tried changing from no logging to
buffered logging with a user active in the database. I performed a series
of ontape commands to activate and deactivate the logging but nothing
helped. The backups were sent to a DAT-device and went alright but I
could never access the database. It was waiting to change logging status.
In the end I had to reinitialize the system. Luckiely enough it was only
a small developement system.
