I don't know about XPS, but in IDS the number of light scan buffers is:
(RA_PAGES + RA_THRESHOLD) / (MAXAIOSIZE / PAGESIZE)
Where MAXAIOSIZE is the max IO size supported on your platform, usually
60 kb. This was for 7.x and could have changed for 9.x.
Use onstat -g lsc to monitor.
