Onspaces script

Does anyone have a script that can generate the onspaces commands for
an instance? I need to setup a replication server for HDR. I looked in the
IIUG software repository but could not find one.
I am currently using 9.20HC3 on an HP-UX 11.11 machine but will finally be
upgrding to 9.40 soon.
Thanks.
Kevin
You do not need to do this. To set replication, if
you use raw devices
(chunk), you need to define them and do a restore.

Here's my version of it:
This SQL script example uses the sysmaster database to generate a shell
script called mkspaces.sh on a 2 kb page system. It's pretty easy to
change to also handle blobspaces, sbspaces and mirroring. It excludes
the creation of the root dbspace. Remember to change '* 2' to '* 4' on
aix and windoze.
unload to "/tmp/mkspaces.sh" delimiter ";"
select "onspaces -c -d " || trim(d.name)|| case when is_temp = 1 then " -t " else " " end
|| " -p " || trim(c.fname)
|| " -o " || c.offset * 2 || " -s " || c.chksize * 2
from sysdbspaces d, syschunks c
where d.fchunk = c.chknum
and d.is_blobspace = 0
and d.is_sbspace = 0
and d.dbsnum > 1
union all
select "onspaces -a " || trim(d.name)
|| " -p " || trim(c.fname)
|| " -o " || c.offset * 2 || " -s " || c.chksize * 2
from sysdbspaces d, syschunks c
where d.dbsnum = c.dbsnum
and d.nchunks > 1
and d.fchunk <> c.chknum
and d.is_blobspace = 0
and d.is_sbspace = 0;

As long as you have the logical volumes present and
linked (hopefully
symbolic), you can just perform the restore. No need to initialize the
engine and add the spaces.
