Re: DOS/WINDOWS version of INFORMIX

On Windows NT (3.51 and 4.0) they have the OnLine Workgroup Server (multiuser), OnLine Workstation (single user) and full OnLine which are all part of their Dynamic Scalable Architecture. On Windows 3.x and Windows 95 they have Informix SE which is not part of DSA. (SE is also available for Windows NT.) There is nothing for DOS alone (there was once upon a time, but that is no longer usefull, nor sold). There is lots of information on OnLine Worgroup Server and Workstation products as well as the option to download them at http://www.informix.com/informix/products/new_plo/wgs-eng/index.htm The downloads are big so you may be better out getting a CD from your local Informix office. Check out www.informix.com for their location. fortenberry@lmims.com (Kevin Fortenberry) wrote: :Does informix have a Database Server version that runs under :DOS/WINDOWS? :If so, what version and is it their Dynamic Architecture? :Please respond to this article with any information. :Thanks in advance, :Kevin Fortenberry Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
