ISM Rumors

Hello! My name is Shekhar Mahadevan and I'm the Product Manager for Informix Backup Products - ontape, OnBar and ISM. I handle backup and storage management product strategies including Legato contract aspects for ISM and so you're getting the following from the horse's mouth, as it were. Someone told me that there has been a rumor going around that ISM was going away and that Informix is going to replace it with a different internally-developed product. I'd like to quell any such notions at once. Informix has NO CURRENT PLANS to change its SM strategy or to remove ISM from the server bundles that it ships with.
