Hello All,
I am currently writing SELECT statements, and I want see how long
they take to execute.
Is there any way (in Sql) to display time, before, then display the
time after the SELECT.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks to all who replied to my the above mail, with suggestions of
SELECT current from systables where tabid = 1;
SELECT .....etc;
SELECT current from systables where tabid = 1
I actually discovered this method, after I made my posting, but ....
it doesn't do the business, the final select, only executes after the
middle selection has been browsed, hence giving the current time.
It would probably work ok, if the middle select was a SELECT count(*) ..
Using the timer.sh script, works best.
Thanks anyway.
