Here is the simplest example possible-- notice the segmentation fault.
$ cat fgiusr.c
/* +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
fgiusr.c
*/
#include "fgicfunc.h"
cfunc_t usrcfuncs[] =
{
0, 0, 0
};
/* +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
*/
$ cc -c fgiusr.c -I${INFORMIXDIR}/incl/tools
$ cfglgo fgiusr.o -o fglgo
$ cat x.4gl
# +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++MAIN
DISPLAY "Hello world...: "
END MAIN
# +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++$ fglpc x.4gl
$ ./fglgo ./x.4goSegmentation fault
The full workaround is detailed in the D4GL section of the IDN web site
at Informix - http://www.informix.com/idn
Succinctly - install and use the compatability libraries.
