I didn't expect an upgrade from 7.30 to 7.31 to take long. I think the
messages were just missed out.

I don't know about the flushes.

I upgraded from 7.30.FC8 to 7.31.FC5-1. So you are different going from
32 bit to 64 bit. I chose my smallest site first so that I could limit
the damage if there was any. ;-)

My instance has only one database of about 37 Gb. The upgrade was less
than half an hour, and I did it remotely via dial-up (not to be flash,
but to save the 2.5 hour round trip :), so I am not sure exactly when it
finished.
I have to do my 3 other sites now, all in different countries, some on
7.24.FC5, the largest being 60 Gb. These will all be done from my home
office as well. :-)
Cheers,
