RE: Informix 32 bits or 64 bits??

Ok, I'm confused. As per the Informix web site ( http://www.informix.com/informix/services/ilink/plc/plc.htm#major ) TC - WinNT version UC - Unix 32 bit FC - Unix 64 bit HC - 32 bit HP/UX But, from the problems that I am experiencing, Art is correct and it would appear that Informix is wrong. We have HP/UX 11.0 64Bit 4096Byte page size We've installed IDS 7.31.FC4, which is supposed to be 64bit as per Informix. When I do an onstat -b the buffer size is listed as 2048. Isn't this wrong, if it were a 64 bit version wouldn't my buffer size be 4096. Should I have the HC version? Have I been lied to by Informix? Andrew -----Original Message----- From: Art S. Hi, page size is not related to the word width of a specific version, i.e. on a given platform 32 bit and 64 bit versions will have the same page size (otherwise you would have to convert the page format of the complete instance disk space going from a 32 bit to a 64 bit version).
