ER - Data consolidation

Hi all, I'm trying to setup a ER with 4 Onlines in a data-consolidation model. The documentation is not so clear with more than 2 onlines .... The goal is to have something like this : A-| ||->C B-|->D C consolidates some of A+B D replicates some of B I'm able to set the replication from A to C, from B to C or from B to D but not all at the same time ... cdr define server -c Asoc -I Agroup -i 0 -A /dev/null -R /dev/null cdr define server -c Bsoc -I Bgroup -i 0 -A /dev/null -R /dev/null cdr define server -c Csoc -I Cgroup -i 0 -A /dev/null -R /dev/null -S Agroup -N cdr define server -c Csoc -I Cgroup -i 0 -A /dev/null -R /dev/null -S Bgroup -N è Return command failed -- Enterprise Replication already defined (92) What is the way to do if it's possible ? Best regards, Sam
The define server command is used to define the connection topology, not the replication topology. The endpoints of replication is defined by the define replicate, or the realize template commands. If you have 4 servers, you could simply define the connections as .. cdr define server -c Asoc -I cdr define server -c Bsoc -S Asoc ... cdr define server -c Csoc -S Asoc ... cdr define server -c Dsoc -S Asoc. The -S (or --sync=3D) is used to determine where the metadata catalogue is = to be copied from. Thanks for your help it works. There's no primary/secondary for the metadata catalog ... No, the ER metadata can be administered from any non-leaf server. The suggestion I gave would result in four 'root' servers. Now all you need to do is to define the endpoints of the replicated table.
