Server Studio for Informix is a visual integrated development environment (IDE) for DBAs and back- end developers. It will help you create and analyze Informix database schemas, edit and debug stored procedures and triggers, optimize performance of Informix SQL statements and routines, maintain and explorer server-side applications, compare development and production databases down to source lines of individual procedures and triggers, and more. Server Studio features the following seamlessly integrated productivity tools: DB Object Explorer SQL Editor Table Structure Editor Data Editor SPL Debugger Permissions Editor Execution Plan Analyzer Object Dependencies Explorer Difference Analyzer Object Reference/Impact Analyzer Server Sessions Browser Project Folders Version Control for database objects Server Studio supports the following Informix database servers: Informix Dynamic Server 7.x, 8.x, 9.x and IDS 2000. For more information and to get your free evaluation copy, please visit us at: http://www.agsltd.com Server Studio Highlights: ------------------------------- SQL Editor is a powerful full-featured, color- coded editor, customized specifically to support Informix SPL and SQL languages. It provides complete syntax checking without requiring actual code execution on the server and supports nested objects cross-referencing. SQL Editor enables you to apply SPL code templates, to execute individual code statements and to get back multiple result sets. Object Explorer allows you to visually browse database server objects tree, to display objects' properties and to build object dependencies trees. It also gives you ability to customize your workspace by creating virtual project folders to speed up your access to logically related database objects. Table Structure Editor allows you to create and edit structure of existing tables, including columns, index, primary and foreign key definitions, constraints, fragmentation, etc. All available table options can be modified via the set of simple wizards and all required SQL statements are automatically generated by Server Studio. SPL Debugger is an interactive debugger for Informix database servers' stored procedures and triggers. It enables you to execute stored procedures and triggers line-by-line, to set breakpoints, to watch and to modify values of variables, etc. SPL Debugger can be invoked from any client application or development tool, such as Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, C++, Informix-4GL, etc. Permissions Editor allows you to edit and modify user, role and object permissions and also create new users and roles in a database. It automatically generates and applies to a database required GRANT and REVOKE statements. Dependencies Explorer enables you to analyze all complex SQL source and data dependencies of any selected database object with a single click of the mouse. The generated dependencies trees are created to the required levels of nesting and contain all database objects (such as stored procedures, triggers, tables and views) that are dependent on the selected object of interest. Reference Analyzer is a powerful impact and reverse analysis tool, which enables you to determine what effect changes in one database object will have on other server-side application objects. It performs powerful searches for all references to a specific database object across one or multiple databases. The results of reference analysis return all stored procedures, triggers and views that contain references to the selected object of interest and identify each line of source code where such references were found. You can view and edit any of the found object's references by clicking on its associated line of source code. Data Editor enables you to watch and edit data in database tables and views using a "spreadsheet- style" grid with resizable and movable columns. Data can be visually filtered sorted and exported into a variety of file formats including ASCII, Excel, SQL, etc. For more information and to get your free evaluation copy, please visit us at: http://www.agsltd.com Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
