RE: Problems with RedHat Linux 6.0 and IDS 7.30

read the online.log to see whats happening then
try tuning the SHM* values in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/onconfig (make backup
first...)
then do:
oninit -s #to init shared mem
onmode -m #to bring online-multiuser
make sure you have right amt of free mem (cat /proc/meminfo).
You shouldn't do anything with kernel-params unless you know what youre
doing.

|
|Hi, I'm novice in Linux and after installing the IDS 7.30 on a
|RedHat 6.0
|machine when the IDS try to create the shared memory i got a list with
|messgaes like this:
|dupfd: fd 1025 max 1024
|
|finally i got the message: error on shared memory creation.
|
|Where I can find information about how to change shared memory
|parameters
|and reconfigure kernel in RedHat Linux?
|
|:)
