Help ---> Visual Basic Application connect to Informix on Sun w/o ODBC

Hi, I am trying to create a test program in Visual Basic to fetch data from our Informix database running on Sun SPARCclassis. My approach is: VB Apps -> DBTEST.DLL -> ISQLI501.DLL -> WINSOCK.DLL (PC-NFS 5.1) -> Network Drv. I wrote my dbtest.ec in Microsoft C with embedded SQL statements. The dbtest.ec includes various SQL functionalities such as open database, close database, select, declare cursor etc. Then I compiled dbtest.ec with Informix ESQL/C for Windows (Ver 5.01) to generate dbtest.dll. The compile command I used was: esql -lm dbtest.ec dbtest.def -o dbtest.dll In my Visual Basic application, I declare the all the SQL functions originated in program dbtest.ec. PROBELMS: When I ran the program, it stopped at opening the database and a Winsock Helper Window popuped on the screen and showed the data transaction between my PC and Sun. It showed OK on both sending receiving in Winsock Help Window. BUT NO DATA RETURNED to my Visual Basic program. The process sqlexec hang on the Sun with IW status. My environment is: PC Pentium 90 MHz, 16 MB Mem, 1 GB Disk Visual Basic 3.0 Informix ESQL/C for Windows burndled with PC I-NET Ver 5.01 PC-NFS Ver 5.1 Informix SE 5.0 on Sun SPARCclassic running SunOS 4.x I-NET for SunOs I have successfully run programs in Microsoft C with embedded SQL and get data from Sun to my Microsoft C program in the same environment. Am I doing something wrong? Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
