Client SDK 2.50 Problems
Posted in 2000
I now have CSDK2.50.HC1 (Running on a 2-Way HP L-Class / HPUX 11.00), but something is funky.... Previous to installation of CSDK2.50, compiling ESQL/C was not a problem. Our command line example: /usr/informix/bin/esql -g -O2 -Wall -I. -I./include -c program.ec and "program" would be created without a problem. Now I cannot compile any of our .ec files... I receive the following error: esqlc: "./include/headerfile.h", line 2260: Error -33043: Out of memory. /usr/informix/bin/esql[560]: 2560 Bus error(coredump) If I re-install the previous version of the SDK the problem goes away. I have noticed two things: 1) typing ./esql -V returns 9.40.UC1 with the new SDK, but returns 7.24.HC2 with the previous 2) Informix has a CSDK2.50.HC1-1.... Does anyone know what the difference is between this and HC1? I cannot find any information on Informix's TechInfo Center that references either one of these SDK's even though Informix Customer Service shipped me the CD. I am needing to use the new SDK due to the way the libraries are now created with Position Independent Code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
