Chris
To set DBDATE in JDBC, you can pass the DBDATE with the URL like so:
dburl = "jdbc:informix-sqli://" + host + ":" + port + "/" + dbname +
":informixserver=" + server +
>> ";dbdate=DMY4." +
";user=" + user +
";password=" + pass;

Subject: DBDATE using JAVA/NT/JDBC <-> IDS/UNIX
Hello out there,
I'm writing a Java-application using jdk1.3 / Windows NT. This
application contains an input
form (like 4GL-Forms) which is used to build a wherestring. This
wherestring has to be
send through informix-jdbc 2.x (minor versions also tested !) to IDS
7.31x on an UNIX-server.
After 'inputting' some date-values the resulting wherestring looks like:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM mytable WHERE mydate = '16.03.2000' (European
Date Format)Sending this string through the JDBC-Connection results in an 'invalite
date'-Error (-1204,-1205...) on IDS.
Typing the same select manually using dbaccess on the unix server
results in no error, because
DBDATE is set to DMY4.
I tried to set DBDATE on Windows-NT using SETNET32, Registry and
System-Environment, but
I didn't manage to get JDBC to use these settings.
Any hints ?
CU, Chris
