Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Not a technical Informix question: posters complained that every message to the newsgroup triggered an automatic vacation auto-reply from a user named Frank Louvado. Participants confirmed they were all receiving the mails and agreed there's no way for readers to block them at source. Jonathan Leffler reported he had emailed Frank directly and also contacted an Informix contact person named in the auto-reply, but got no help. The advice was simply to email the sender once, politely, asking him to disable it; no actual resolution is recorded in the thread.

Hi All ,
Is anyone else on this new group keeping getting mail's from this
person whenever they post a message if so how do I stop it.
Cheers

Frank must have his auto response set for his holiday vacation. Real pain.

Yes, I get them. I emailed Frank to let him know I don't particularly
like being told about his vacation on every message; even once a day is
too frequent. Notifying me once a week would be OK. I even emailed
Nancy Cobaxin (sp?) who's the contact point mentioned in his email to
ask her nicely whether there was anything she could do. The answer
appears to be "No". If you're fed up, email him at least once,
indicating that you don't like what he is doing -- but don't be
obnoxious about it either; it is probably an innocent mistake (albeit
infuriating for those of us not on vacation while he is).

Too add insult to injury, he's probably somewhere hot, as well! (Obnoxio,
in case the meaning is not clear, this means he *is* somewhere hot, rather
than *has* somewhere hot).
