error -243

i'm running ids 7.24uc6 on hp-ux 10.20.my esqlc version is 7.23uc5. i have a daily data extraction program that runs fine most of the time. every few months, i would get an error -243, could not position within a table table-name. there was no hardware or table corruption. if i rerun the program , it would be working again. it's very perplexing. can anyone help shed some light on this? thanks, -hk

You have a locking issue, I suspect someone is leaving a program open every now and again and this is giving you the problem.
