Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Dear Kerry
Hello from the U.K.
I wonder if you can help us, we have a unix database containing CISAM file structures which is similar in structure to an Informix database file structure (or so we have been told).
We are trying to access this data using MicroFocus COBOL while mapping an area of the Unix disk to a Novell drive mapping. i.e server name = NWSERVER directory = /usr4/brew/comp1/
We do seem able to access all information on the files with the exception of numbers, which we are told are stored in base-100 format.
Do you happen to know of anyone who has been able to access data in this manner, as we have been trying to find out this information for about the last six months!
I would be extremely grateful if you could supply me with any information.
Yours
