For example, if you have 4GL v.4.13 and ESQL/C v.5.06, and you install the 4GL after the ESQL/C, the 4GL files overwrite any message files which are common to both products (eg. sql.iem), and any error messages which are new to ESQL/C 5.06 are gone (eg. any stored procedure messages).
