More Questions on INet
Posted in 1993
Well we have INet working between our 3B2 and our HP 9000/375's, but I have a few questions on using it. What I would like to do is run a process on the HP that as an end result will insert a bunch of rows into the database on the 3B2. I find that when I point to the database on the 3B2 at the start of the program, all temporary tables and files are created on the 3B2. I would like to do all the interim processing on the HP and only insert the final result into the database on the 3B2. If I create a database on the HP for this purpose can I retain the values in an open cursor when I change the database to that on the 3B2? Any one done anything like this out there? Any help would be appreciated. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob Kane Internet: bob@worms-emh2.army.mil (IP 134.235.9.2) TechDyn Systems Voice: (049) 6241-487306 (WORMS, GERMANY) CMR 421, BOX 706 Fax: (049) 6241-49560 APO AE 09056 CIS: 71054,2661
