} Do you have a "services" file on the NT box? I have not done an NT
} install, but Win95 needs a file called c:\\windows\\services (no
} extension) of the same format as an /etc/services file in Unix. The
} service names in that file must match that used in SetNet and ODBC
} setup.
}
} I have gotten the same error before, and it was always that.

I have seen this problem before.
Is the Online server on NT and what is the version of it?
Nevermind about how foolish it is but try to use another service that is
not used and also change the port Online instance listens.
I also met this problem on Online DS 7.22 on Sun machine and used the
service of Ingres.
Good Luck...
