Because 4js seem to have some kind of vision for where they want their product to go, and have a nice little list of future enhancements. Informix have no such list of *future* features. 2. People whose opinions I greatly respect, and have used the product, have said very nice things about it. 3. I've read the manual and seen the demos. It does look like a product with some kind of future. I-4GL is, *currently*, a stagnant pond. 4. I don't have to use a product to form an opinion about it. My experience with Java is minimal, but it seems to me to be a great idea, and a language with a good future.
