Hi, Perhaps I have a simple question, but I'm new with Informix and Dynamic 4GL! My Question is following: We have paid a business software , which is produce with Dynamic 4GL (Version 3.0 on HP-UX) and we have the soure-code also. These program-files are locate in same directory on this HP-Computer! Now I will try to recompile this software but with this I have problems! I compile the main-file (fgl2p main.4gl) and the compile create the file main.42m without an error. After then I make "fgl2p -o main.42r main.42m" but now a got same errors! These errors explain to me that the compiler (linker) miss same function! These missing functions are in same other source files (locate in other directory)! Question: How can I solve these problems ?? Many Thanks manfred

You would have to know what other programs are involved and compile and link them all together. You should have had a makefile which is already prepared for compiling. You may also need to check that your files create just one program or many. IMHO you should contact the guys who sold you the programs and ask them to give you the documentation regarding the source code, or and a training into how to use, modify and maintain the source code. -- Compliments of QueriX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QueriX 4GL Compilers are Informix 4GL Compatible, and Connection to other RDBMS such as Oracle.
