Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hello,
This is a problem I frequently encounter but have yet to find a
solution. Can anyone help.
When trying to do a dbexport of ONE database amongst many on a server I
often find it fails as it is locked by another user. I find I cannot
identify which of the sqlturbos is to blaim (mainly PC I-NET clients).
Sometimes the only way is to get everyone to log off and then tbmode
-z;kill -9 any remaining processes. This takes a long time and is
obviously highly popular amongst the typically 50 or so people who don't
need to log off!
I have used scripts to associate the output of tbstat -k; tbstat -u; ps
-ef etc. but although I can see the connections to informix from the
tbstat -k output, I cannot find a way of relating this to a specific
database.
I am using Online 5.03 on SGI IRIX and mainly PC I-NET clients.
