onbar or ISM thinks disk is full

Hello, I will appreciate your comments.
Im running IDS 9.40 FC2 on Solaris 9 on a Sun v880 64 bits
I configured onbar and ISM and is working ... not always
I use two volumes on disk, one form Data and other one for logs. It
happens when I start a new onbar level 0, it stops because volume is
full, but the disk is plenty of space. I happen sometimes, it happen at
differents gigabytes writed (30 GB, 22 GB, etc) sometimes I tray two or
tree times and it can finish. Now I have tried more times and can't
finish.
How can I fix that?
After problem start showing, I use nsradmin to set manualy volume
capacity:
nsradmin -i $INFORMIXDIR/utilerias/onbar.nsr
Informix > cat onbar.nsr
. type:NSR device; name:/home0/cintasbar/cinta0
update volume default capacity:50000000 KB
update volume current capacity:50000000 KB
. type:NSR device; name:/home0/cintasbar/cinta1
update volume default capacity:50000000 KB
update volume current capacity:50000000 KB

You may actually be running out of temp dbspace to hold pre-images of pages
modified during the archive. Check this during the archive with onstat -d or
just add more temp dbspaces to DBSPACETEMP.

thanks for your advice.
I give it a try, running onbar while monitoring onstat -d, top and df=
.
The three temp dbspaces remain almost unused; procesor, memory and sw=
ap
resources seems to be ok, and filesystems never were close to 100%.
However, the result was the same, stoped backup because of full volum=
e.
Your idea of another resource different than a ism or onbar resource =
is
interesting to me. It may explain why it stops at random times and
Gigabytes writen to disk. But, how to find what is running out of.
While writing this email, I try it again, spreading my script out. I
First created and mounted volumes. Then, using nsradmin I look at the
device and realize volume current capacity: 0 KB; (disregarding I iss=
ue
an update volume current capacity:50000000 KB) So I edited manualy th=
at
attribute with the 50GB value and close nsradmin command and opened
again. Now, attribute was volume current capacity: ; . So I closed ag=
ain
nsradmin and make the=20
su - informix -c "onbar -b -L 0 -f /usr1/informix/onbar.espacios"
command. Backup ran to the end whit no interruptions.
What did I do? I don't realy know. It seems like superstition. Where =
can
I find documentation on nsradmin and their attributes and configurati=
on?
Thanks again for you time.
