DBD::Informix and threads on Linux

Hi, RHEL 6.5 64-bit Client SDK 4.10.FC4DE DBD::Informix 2013.0521 Has anyone ever got DBD::Informix working with threads on Linux? I can't find a definitive statement. However: - you can attempt to compile it with threads enabled. - its docs (http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-module/DBD/DBD-Informix-2013.0521.readme) refer to experimenting with threaded Perl. However I have had no luck. The Client SDK docs (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/#!/SSGU8G_12.1.0/com.ibm.relnotes .doc/notes/csdk_410xc2/mach/esqlc.html) state that the correct threading libraries for Linux are POSIX. Attempting to compile I have the following special environment variables: DBD_INFORMIX_ESQLC_LINKAGE="-thread -shared" THREADLIB="POSIX" And it compiles :) But when you do "make test" you get for all tests something like this: t/t00basic.t ........ install_driver(Informix) failed: Can't load '/root/DBD-Informix-2013.0521/blib/arch/auto/DBD/Informix/Informix.so' for module DBD::Informix: /root/DBD-Informix-2013.0521/blib/arch/auto/DBD/Informix/Informix.so: undefined symbol: ifx_sqlstate at /usr/lib64/perl5/DynaLoader.pm line 200. I also tried static compilation, same result. Have I got any chance of making this work or should I give up? Ben.
Please send me your Perl configuration so I can try it and see what I can produce. perl -MConfig -le 'foreach my $key (sort keys %Config) { print $key, "=", $Config{$key}; }' I don't normally build threaded Perl, so I don't normally get to test it. If the Perl is standard (provided by the distro), well, I don't think I can get RHEL 6.5 for free, so I won't easily be able to test it there, hence I need the config to try and build a comparable version. Thank you Jonathan. For the benefit of the group I have replied directly.
