4gl unexplained problems

Hello: I have developed some 4gl programs using Informix Dynamic Server 7.24 UC8 on an AIX 4.2 server. Those function well, but the problem is when I migrated them to an SCO UnixWare 7.1.0 with IDS 7.30.UC2 Following are two detailed problems i have: 1.- Program pg_1---> No error when compiling with r4gl, but a problem when executing it: $ fglgo pg_1 "pgdr_mig@informix_shm" "2" Program stopped at "pg_1.4gl", line number 2118. SQL statement error number -703. Primary key on table (ch_compo) has a field with a null key value. $ This line contains: put ins_child_cursor This table is a child one. To avoid any problem with constraints, we do a Flush over the father before inserting it. if var_X = 1 then FLUSH ins_father_cursor end if The variable var_X, initially is 0 (zero) and then goes to 1, but for a reason we don't know it gets a null value. > if li_auxi == 1 then > FLUSH ins_sorguia > end if > We decided to compile it using i4gl and we get success. My questions is: What could be wrong? 2.- Program pg_2---> Errors compiling with I4gl > function start_scripts() > start report script1 to var_address_script > end function > | > | A variable used in the above statement must be of type CHAR or > VARCHAR. > | See error number -4433. > . > . > Definition for this variable is: > define var_address_script varchar(100) > We changed it to CHAR(100), and teh problem was solved. But, we got success when compiled it with r4gl. What comments can you do about it? Thanks in advaced, Luis
