Because you have posted here in the comp.databases.ms-access newsgroup before, been informed of the prohibition, I am, by copy of this response, requesting your ISP, Earthlink, who I know to have strong policies against spamming and off-topic posting, to take appropriate action under their Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy. Thanks to the "abuse" id at Earthlink. If others also decide to complain to Earthlink, that will, of course, give them a strong indication of this newsgroup's particpants' concern over advertising. But, just in case the poster has forgotten, here's a pertinent part of the "standard response to advertisers": USENET Newsgroup rules prohibit advertising of any kind in all newsgroups except those whose charter permits it. The charter of comp.databases.ms-access not only does not permit advertising, it specifically repeats the prohibition. This is clearly explained in the daily FAQ post and at the newsgroup's FAQ site, http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette. By posting here, you demonstrated that you are not a regular participant in the newsgroup (or you would have seen this admonition many times and would know that most participants here do not patronize spammers) or someone who is unwilling to follow the rules of the newsgroup. By repeatedly violating the rules and charter, you have confirmed to me that you fall in the latter category -- one who does not consider others, so long as you stand to get some benefit out of their discomfort. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free!
