RE: logical logs full

The B under flags means backed up. The logs with U-B have been used and
have been backed up. They are ready for use right now. Older versions of
the engine did not show a B. The U used to change to F for free.

Subject: logical logs full
Hi,
I have informix7.3 on a test machine, and we don't archive data to tapes
etc.
Here is my config. file info:
# Physical Log Configuration
PHYSDBS rootdbs # Location (dbspace) of physical log
PHYSFILE 1000 # Physical log file size (Kbytes)# Logical Log Configuration
LOGFILES 6 # Number of logical log files
LOGSIZE 500 # Logical log size (Kbytes)# Log Archive Tape Device
LTAPEDEV /dev/null # Log tape device path
LTAPEBLK 16 # Log tape block size (Kbytes)
LTAPESIZE 10240 # Max amount of data to put on log tape
(Kbytes)
PHYSBUFF 32 # Physical log buffer size (Kbytes)
LOGBUFF 32 # Logical log buffer size (Kbytes)LOGSMAX 6 # Maximum number of logical log files
LBU_PRESERVE 0 # Preserve last log for log backup
Here is onstat -l output(partial):
address number flags uniqid begin size used %used
a039378 1 U-B---- 13 100233 250 250 100.00
a039394 2 U-B---- 14 10032d 250 250 100.00
a0393b0 3 U-B---- 15 100427 250 250 100.00
a0393cc 4 U-B---- 16 100521 250 250 100.00
a0393e8 5 U-B---- 17 10061b 250 250 100.00
a039404 6 U---C-L 18 100715 250 158 63.20
I need to cleanup these logs (they show as 100%). I ran ontape -s but
it didn't cleanup these logs. When I run 'ontape -a' or 'ontape -l', it
says:
Logbackup failed - Log backup to device '/dev/null' not allowed
Questions:
1. Should I be worried, or is it ok ?
2. Is it that last one (now at 63%) fills up , will they all be reset to 0%
?
3. How do I cleanup these logic. logs. ?
4. How automatically setup so they get cleaned up themselves ?
Please copy me in your reply.
Thanks for info.
