OK, everyone has given you a piece of your answer, let me wrap it up all
neatly for you. The 206 pages are free in the sense that they have not
been allocated to any server disk object. The existing logical logs which
are taking up the remaining 75050 pages are allocated to the logical log
'files' which are only files in the sense that they are discrete disk
allocation units like OS files but are created within the logdbs dbspace.
When you back up the logical logs they are 'freed' ONLY in the sense that
they are then available for reuse unless the oldest of them contains parts
of an open transaction. Here free does not mean available to be allocated
to another file. The oldest freed logical log will be recycled by the
engine and assigned the next sequential logical log unique id (see the
onstat -l output to see how these logical ids are assigned to the physicallogical log files. Hope this helps, along with everyone else's takes, but
