On Exception question

Is there a way in a stored proc to trap generic errors? The documention shows how to trap specific errors, i.e. On exception set errnum If errnum = -211 Then "table is locked" End if Perhaps what I am looking for are values from SQLCA, but I have been unsuccessful in trapping this inside an SP.
