Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I'm running OnLine v7.13 on a Sun Sparc20; Solaris 2.4. I've had to
restore my instance to a dump. When i bring up OnLine I see the console
message Bad primary chunk '/dev/rdsk/informix_1', although this doesn't
appear in the OnLine log. The log does show that my tempbds is invalid,
and onstat -d shows it marked as down. A "dbspce does not exist"
message is received if I try to drop the tempdbs.
Informix support have told me that this is a known problem with restores
including tempdbss, which can only be removed by re-initialsing and
re-loading/importing. If only the tempdbs is affected I can live with
it, but does anyone else have any experience of this problem?
