well you are getting I/O read errors on chunk 9... onstat -d ...what is chunk 9? What platform? Can you do dd if=<chunk 9 path> of=/dev/null bs=1024k count=10 ? Are the permissions on chunk 9 ok? Owner informix group informix, mode 660
