Becuase a salesman did a presentation to a) The MD b) The Sales Director c) The Sales Manager for out Product d) The project manager for out product Who made the decision? The MD and the Sales Director because they have the power. How technically aware are they? NOT! They thought move 4GL->NewEra would just need a recompile. They thought Informix-4GL ran on NT.. We are a small business (~40-50) where most of the market is... Sales people many sales, not developers and we didn't even see a consultant?
