RE: Version IDS 7.xx for AIX 4.2.1

Doris, We are running IDS 7.30.UC3X3 on AIX 4.2.1. This version works great for us. We have set the following environment variables in /etc/environment to circumvent known problems. 1. NO_SUBQF=1 2. LIGHT_SCANS=off The NO_SUBQF variable is a workaround for defect 95376 which is fixed in IDS 7.30.UC5 (Subquery flattening produces wrong results with EXISTS clause). The LIGHT_SCANS variable is a workaround for defect 92062. (Calculation of fullness of pages in light append allows too many slots on 4K pages when partition includes VARCHARS). IDS 7.30.UC3X3 is a patched version of IDS 7.30.UC3 which addressed bugs 97883 and 96482. Without the patches "oncheck -CI" commands were running unacceptably long.
