ids 10 & 11 performance on aix and hp platform

Hi: A bank customer want to do performance testing for ids 10 and ids 11 in following platform: 1. aix; 2. hp-pa-risc; 3. hp-IA ; Do anybody could provide some configration suggestion about informix configration and os configration for performance purpose? Or some document I could read, For example, In HP-PA-RISC platform resident should set to yes. Any suggestion will enjoyed.

Hi, IDS configuration depends on exact hardware configuration (Memory, #CPUs, #Disks, internal/external disks) and type of application (OLTP, DW). Why do you want to test HP on PA-Risc and IA64 ? The later one is about 2-3 times faster - depends on exact CPU speeds and application load, but you can expect that speedup in reality. The customer want to do testing on HP-PA-RISC machine, because the product system are running on this platform. If the performanc are still accepted on PA-RISC platform. they will continue use the PA-RISC Platform, it bring little risk, I suppose.
