Try setting up a second database, using views and synonyms to the live database. This is the way we get around the a similar problem. Hi! Is there any way you could use dirty read - is there anything in Crystal reports that would allow you to select isolation mode. Also check for some posts regarding similar problem a few weeks ago. If you can use stored procedure (I do with Infomaker), you can control the isolation mode, but also optimize selects and joins. Might be worth the try.
