INFORMIX OnLine 5.05 -- HP-UX 10.01
I have the following lines in user INFORMIX's crontabfile. Most of the time
it works great and gives me an unattended level zero archive on one tape.
# Level 0 archive of On-Line Engine
00 1 * * 2-6 TBCONFIG=tbconfig.cars; INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix; export TBCONFIG
INFORMIXDIR; echo '\\n0' | /usr/informix/bin/tbtape -s | head -100 > /tmp/archiv
e.log 2>&1 ; mailx -s "OLE Archive" daniel cdiemert < /tmp/archive.log
But some nights it requests a second tape (and subsequently fails). There
doesn't seem to be much evidence of massive system activity (would that even
affect how much tape was needed?). If I leave the same tape in the drive
and start an archive manually during the the day, it finishes just fine on
one tape. Any theories?
