archecker error message

Earlier this year there was a posting asking about the following archecker error message: ERROR: Unable to open a partition file This line occurs thousands of times in the message log. It is then followed by a list of table names as each table is checked. The message log then ends with: STATUS: Table checks PASSED STATUS: Check overhead pages for blobchunk /dev/Development/dadimgbs STATUS: Check overhead pages for blobchunk /dev/Development/dadimgbs2 STATUS: Check overhead pages for blobchunk /dev/Development/raimgbs STATUS: Check overhead pages for blobchunk /dev/Development/dltimgbs STATUS: BLOBChunk checks PASSED TIME: [10/05/2000 08:55:55] Checking Completed STATUS: Tables/Fragments validated: 774 Archive Validation Passed I could not find a response to the earlier posting regarding the error message. One of the problems is that it appears that archecker is validating the backup but there is still that error message. I would like to resolve that error message before I can feel comfortable in using this tape for a restore. Can someone help me with the error message? What does it indicate? -- BillS Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

We had this as well until we got a newer version from Informix.
The old version was 4.4 and it came with IDS 7.31.UC2, not sure with
newer versions.

Mr. Gjerstad:
We are running Archecker v 4.4 on 7.31 UC2.
When you ran the old version of archecker, did you ever attempt to
restore from a tape that returned the error message(ERROR: Unable to
open partition file? Were you successful?
