Custom debugger dumps core under Linux

Hi All We are experiencing a problem where if we recompile a custom debugger with our own C functions, it dumps core. This is apparently a known problem with the fgldb. See http://www.iiug.org/members/cdi_archive/1999.03/cdii.29897. Can anybody shed some light on this? Does the problem only occur under the Linux port, or does it exist on other platforms? Are there any workarounds? It does seem as though it has been fixed in version 7.30.UC1 for Linux, but there are other bugs in that release that are real show stoppers, so that is not an option. We are currently running RedHat6.2, but the problem also occurs on Mandrake 6.1. I have tried 4gl RDS versions 7.20.UC(?), 7.20.UE2. Thanks Kevin
What about 7.30.UC4? Isn't that available under Linux yet?
